Freelance Graphic Designer in New York
My name is Arek Dvornechuck aka ebaqdesign and I’m a freelance graphic designer based in NY. As far back as I remember I always wanted to be a Graphic Designer. I was intrigued by graphic design since 2008 when I enrolled in my first Adobe Training course.
Freelance Graphic Designer by vocation
I started off by working as a freelance graphic designer and providing my clients with both print and digital designs. I spent years learning everything I could about my profession. I studied and learned from books, tutorials and trainings. I found myself totally soaked up in design. Few years in the making I made a conscious choice to specialize in brand identity design.
For me, being a designer was better than being a president of the United States.
I’m from Poland. After high school, my parents sent me to study in Warsaw (I was born in a beautiful renaissance city called Zamosc). In the capital city I studied IT but on the second year I choose to move on 100% with my real passion. So I began my second studies at Academy of Fine Arts and I hold a Master Degree, major in Graphic Design. When I look back now, I consider this particular choice as one of the best decisions I made in my life.
Fascinated by logo design
I have been honing my skills by working as a freelance graphic designer and full time graphic designer. I was fascinated by brands and the relationships they build. I have always admired logo designers like Paul Rand, Ivan Chermayeff, Tom Geismar, Milton Glaser, Paula Scher and more. I love simple solutions and clean style. In my opinion logo design needs to be simple, memorable and appropriate. In fact, I believe that graphic design is about what works.
24/7 on the mission
I created my destiny because I always knew what I want. Therefore, on my second year at the Academy of Fine Arts I participated in the Erasmus Program (a European student exchange program). I’m extremely grateful for this opportunity I was given. It was my dream to learn Spanish language, travel to foreign country and gain a new perspective on graphic design.
During my career I have been working with top branding agencies both in Poland and in the US. Among them were: Brand New Attitude and Chermayeff & Geismar & Haviv. In 2014 I was invited by Sagi Haviv, so I came to NY to work at CGH. I have visited NY few times prior to that, but this time it was a whole new experience. It shaped me and motivated me. I worked with the CGH team on some of the top US brands: Barnes & Noble, Heart of Tea, Nationwide, Avery, Beko and more. I felt like my dreams come true.
I fall in love with NY – a land of opportunity, and I met my wife here as well. From then on, I work as a freelance graphic designer based in NY. I’m focused on brand identity and logo design.
I’m always looking for more responsibilities with fresh and new challenges. I produce the work that is both creatively innovative and achieves client’s objectives. If you want to take your business to the next level, it’ll be a pleasure to hear from you. Here’s a selection of my Identity work.
